Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team in Berkeley, United States. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our organization, ensuring that every package reaches our customers safely, on time, and with a smile. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while maintaining strong organizational skills and a commitment to exceptional service delivery.

• Operate a vehicle safely and efficiently to deliver packages to customers throughout the Berkeley area
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maximize efficiency
• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance checks
• Handle packages with care, ensuring they are loaded, transported, and delivered in excellent condition
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing questions and concerns with a friendly demeanor
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for all shipments
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure safe driving practices
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent the organization positively in all interactions
• Meet daily delivery targets and performance goals while maintaining quality standards
• Report any vehicle issues or delivery complications to management promptly

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid drivers license
• Minimum 2 years of driving history if 18 years old; minimum 1 year of driving history if 19 years or older
• Must have access to an insured vehicle that meets company standards for delivery use
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check meeting company-specific standards
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Strong knowledge of local roads and navigation skills (or willingness to use GPS/mapping tools)
• Excellent time management and punctuality skills
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle packages safely (up to 50 lbs regularly)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
• Positive attitude, reliability, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physical capability to perform delivery duties in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting (preferred)
