Job Description
Were looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Delivery Driver to join our team at our Peoria location (425 N. Western Ave.). As a Delivery Driver, youll be the face of our organization, delivering quality products and exceptional service directly to our customers doors. This is a flexible opportunity perfect for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy interacting with customers, and want to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced delivery operation. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiency and professionalism on every route.
Safely operate a vehicle to deliver products to customers throughout the Peoria area, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation and local area knowledge to maximize productivity and minimize delivery times
Provide friendly, professional customer service at each delivery stop, addressing customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and a positive attitude
Accurately handle, organize, and protect products during transport to ensure they arrive in perfect condition
Maintain detailed delivery records, including customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and any special instructions or issues encountered
Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management promptly
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or customer feedback
Represent the organization professionally at all times, building positive relationships with customers and the community
Meet delivery targets and performance goals while maintaining a flexible schedule that adapts to business demands
Handle cash or digital payments securely when required, following company procedures and maintaining accurate transaction records
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid drivers license
Minimum 2 years of verified driving history with a clean Motor Vehicle Record meeting company-specific standards
Access to a reliable, insured vehicle in good working condition that can be used for deliveries
Must pass a comprehensive Motor Vehicle Record Check and criminal background check
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deliveries efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and positive attitude
Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and basic smartphone technology for route planning and communication
Physical capability to safely lift, carry, and handle packages of varying sizes and weights
Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to meeting delivery schedules and performance expectations
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members
Knowledge of the local Peoria area is preferred but not required
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs
Demonstrated resilience and problem-solving ability to handle challenges professionally and efficiently
