Job Description
Were looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Delivery Driver to join our team at our East Alton location (341 W St Louis Ave). As a Delivery Driver, youll be the face of our organization, delivering quality service and smiles to our customers throughout the community. Safely operate a vehicle to deliver products to customers in assigned routes within East Alton and surrounding areas
Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and mapping tools to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
Maintain accurate delivery records, including customer signatures, delivery times, and any special instructions
Provide friendly, professional customer service at each delivery stop, addressing customer inquiries and concerns with empathy
Inspect vehicle daily for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs promptly to ensure safe operations
Handle products with care, ensuring items arrive in excellent condition and are delivered to the correct locations
Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or customer issues
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and compliant deliveries
Build positive relationships with customers, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid drivers license
Minimum 2 years of driving history with a clean Motor Vehicle Record meeting company standards
Access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for delivery purposes
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check and criminal background check
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deliveries
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
Physical capability to safely load, unload, and handle delivery items
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with a professional attitude
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Familiarity with local East Alton area roads and neighborhoods (preferred)
Experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service roles (preferred)
Proficiency with mobile devices and GPS navigation systems (preferred)
