About the Role:We are looking for a reliable and skilled Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA! This is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a 26' box truck and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. If you take pride in safe driving and delivering excellent service, we want to hear from you!
If you currently own your own truck, we would be very interested to speak to you as well in onboarding you as an Owner-Operator. We can keep you busy 6 days a week.
If you have always wanted to be an Owner-Operator, ask us about our lease program - definitely more affordable than your traditional truck rental or leasing companies.
Responsibilities:- Operate a 26' box truck safely and efficiently throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and greater Western Pennsylvania surrounding regions
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure truck is in safe operating condition
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Be able to execute cell phone apps to update pre-call, arrival, PODs, signatures, and departures.
- Communicate with dispatch and team members regarding route updates, delays, or delivery issues
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers upon delivery
- Load, transport, and unload cargo in accordance with company procedures and delivery schedules
- Deliver big & bulky items inside homes
- Be able to assemble furniture, fitness equipment, bedding frames, etc.
- Maintain accurate fuel receipts, mileage records, and paperwork
Requirements:- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Prior experience operating a 26' box truck or similar large commercial vehicle preferred
- Ability to safely load and unload cargo, including lifting up to 50-150 lbs
- Strong knowledge of Pittsburgh area roads and navigation tools
- Ability to pass a background check and random drug testings
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
