Delivery Driver

As a Delivery Driver at Atwater’s, you will be an essential member of our production team. Each day, you will provide our retail restaurant locations with the food products they need to serve our customers. As a Delivery Driver, you will assist in maintaining our vehicle fleet, working to keep our vehicles clean and working efficiently. An ideal candidate for the Delivery Driver position will be able to adjust to unexpected circumstances and communicate effectively with other managers and supervisors. Most importantly, you will ensure a positive Atwater’s image by providing courteous, friendly, and effective customer service.

SHIFT EXAMPLE: 4 am – noon

Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 

• Load and deliver food items and supplies taken to Atwater’s restaurant locations or catering/wholesale customers.
• Unload the vehicle after returning from delivery: make sure items are placed at the designated spot.
• Arrange for regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle and report any issues.
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on the road conditions.
• Ensure foods items and other products are secure while transporting.
• Keep a driving log for each delivery.
• Other production kitchen and maintenance responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to drive a 20 ft Box Truck (must submit a clean driving record from MVA).
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of ingredient information and products of Atwater’s.
• Ability to perform physical requirements: lift loads not to exceed 50 pounds, unassisted.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. rush hours, holidays, adverse conditions)
• Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Experience: Preferably at least 2 years of delivery experience.

Compensation: $22 - $25 Per hour
