Delivery Driver II, '16in Trucks – San Diego (Local Required)

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Driver/Server to join our team in San Diego, CA. This position is based at 9605 Kearny Villa Rd, San Diego, CA 92126, and applicants must be located in the San Diego area to be considered.

As a Driver/Server, you will play a key role in delivering nutritious meals and snacks to local schools, ensuring orders are accurately loaded, counted, and delivered on time. You will safely operate a delivery truck or van while providing excellent service to our school partners. This position is essential to maintaining the quality, reliability, and customer service standards that Revolution Foods is known for.

A valid state-issued driver's license and a good driving record are required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Is a supportive Delivery team member, loads and unloads delivery trucks, maintains product organization and maintains food safety principles. Maintains a high level of professional uniform standards and personal hygiene. Inspect fruits and snacks for quality and bring issues to the attention of the manager.

• Works closely with Dispatch to verify daily delivery plan, route(s) for deliveries, potential road work that could delay or cause re-routing. Confirms customer orders against product deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of product.  

• Engage with school and other representatives when making deliveries, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and communication. Maintains a positive disposition, always conduct and present themselves in a respectful and polite manner.  

• Conducts vehicle pre-check inspections before departing to deliver goods. Spot checks product upon delivery and unloading to ensure product quality. Exercises good judgement and operational control of a company vehicle.  

• May pack and load products onto trucks, according to company specifications, and unload trucks to meet customer / school program needs.  

• Adheres to proper food handling requirements and temperature checks of chilled products such as milk, dairy, vegetables, etc.  

• Manages the packing slips and delivery process, having customers sign for receipt of deliveries, noting any rejections or shorted products.  

• Follow company protocol when questions or concerns are raised by customers. They are encouraged to be problem solvers and promote Revolution Foods Core values and mission.  

• Follow safe working practices operating the vehicle, obeying speed limits, loading, and unloading.  

• Keeps the truck/van interior and exterior organized, clean and sanitary throughout. Ensure proper care of equipment used to move or secure product inventory.  

• Follow all required safe work and food safety practices. This includes vehicle safety precautions and wearing required PPE in designated areas. Correct and/or report on any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.  

• Identify and report on mechanical vehicle issues that may occur. Supports preventive maintenance on trucks and equipment. Immediately report any accident or property damage that may occur.  

• Duties include unpacking food out of Cambro and placing it on sheet pans to heat up inside or warmer.  

• Monitor food temperature to ensure proper temperature control. 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience working in a food service environment, with customer contact 
• Food Safety training or certifications helpful 
• Must be able to pass Safe Serve test  
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test 
• Able to work an early morning flexible schedule and cover varied shifts 
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude and image 
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who can common routines timely. 
• Ability to move, lift and carry products up to 50 pounds 
• Able to work as a team and individually to accomplish the work 
• Knowledge of basic food handling requirements

Working Conditions: 

• Prolonged standing, walking and sitting is routinely required. 
• Requires working near ovens and warmers  

• Routinely required to stand, walk, bend, carry, crouch, grasp, hold, kneel, lift, push/pull, reach, sit, squat, stand, stoop, stretch, turn, twist, talk, listen and communicate with others. 

• May lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay:

18.00-19.50
