Delivery Driver

We are seeking a dependable, motivated Delivery Driver to join our team at MT Plate Cafe & Scratch Office Catering in Kansas City. In this role, you’ll help ensure our catering orders arrive safely, accurately, and on time while providing the professional and reliable service our clients count on.

This position is ideal for someone who is punctual, organized, comfortable working independently, and willing to jump in and help the team when needed.

\n

Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience is a plus, but not required, we are willing to train the right candidate.

\n

Duties

\n

Safely and promptly deliver catering orders to clients throughout the Kansas City area

\n

Load, transport, and unload food, beverages, equipment, and catering supplies while maintaining quality and presentation

\n

Double-check orders and delivery details before leaving to help ensure accuracy

\n

Provide friendly and professional customer service at every delivery location

\n

Assist with catering setup at client locations as needed

\n

Communicate promptly with the team regarding traffic delays, route changes, customer needs, or delivery issues

\n

Help with basic kitchen, food preparation, packing, or catering tasks when needed

\n

Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery equipment and work areas

\n

Follow all company food safety, driving, and workplace safety procedures

\n

Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards

\n

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements

\n

Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

\n

Reliable transportation suitable for deliveries

\n

Ability to pass a background check

\n

Strong punctuality, attendance, and reliability, our clients count on us to be on time

\n

Friendly and professional with strong communication and customer service skills

\n

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle frequent loading and unloading

\n

Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to verify orders and delivery instructions

\n

Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deliveries or priorities

\n

Flexibility to work varying shifts, primarily weekdays with occasional events

\n

Previous kitchen, catering, restaurant, or food service experience is a plus, but not required

\n

Willingness to learn and assist with basic kitchen and catering tasks as needed

\n
