GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Delivers food and materials to Head Start locations daily throughout Clackamas County, meeting all sanitation requirements, assigned timelines and following safety rules. Pick up material as directed. 36 hour a week position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Position Specific Duties
- Operated agency vehicles following all safety rules.
- Transports perishable foods and supplies in a timely manner, ensure food safety by documenting delivery temperatures.
- Purchases and picks up food and supplies from local retailers and wholesale vendors.
- Keeps interiors of delivery vehicle clean daily and exteriors as needed.
- Performs light maintenance and refueling on agency vehicles, carts, and equipment.
- Reports any needed repairs to vehicle as needed to Facilities Manager.
- Reports food safety concerns immediately.
- Check all pickups and deliveries for accuracy.
- Assists with receiving, stocking, inventory control, and distribution of food, kitchen supplies, and agency materials.
- Maintains agencies inventory and tracking system and logs status of deliveries
- Assists the Operations department with other tasks as needed
General Duties
- Reports suspected child abuse in accordance with Oregon Statute and Head Start procedures.
- Attends training sessions and participates in training opportunities.
- Following Clackamas County Children's Commission core competencies and policies and procedures relative to positions duties.
- Works as a team with other staff in providing services to children and families.
- Maintains the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
- Interacts with children, families and community members in a supportive and professional manner.
- Follow safety best practices for driving, loading, unloading, and lifting all loads.
Additional Duties
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Must be enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to beginning employment and enrollment must be maintained throughout employment
- Post-offer fitness for duty evaluation must be obtained within 30 days of hire date:
- Food handler's card must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect training must be completed within 60 days of hire date
- Introduction to Child Health and Safety training must be completed within 30 days of hire date
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to carry out oral and written directions, read, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed for the position described.
- Current driver's license, two years of driving experience and driving record which meets agency requirements and ability to be insured by insurance carrier.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds daily
- Must be able to remain on your feet for prolonged periods while performing job duties.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods as required to travel to multiple sites or meetings.
- Must be able to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting associated with the position.

- Ability to possess and maintain compliance with State of Oregon Criminal Background Registry.
- Ability to possess and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Oregon Food Handler's Card
DESIRED QUALIFICATONS
- Bilingual skills: oral and written fluency in English with fluency also in Spanish
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works assigned schedule and exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
Work requires travel to off-campus locations.
Work is sometimes performed in an emotional and stressful environment.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent - OR - ability to complete GED within one year of hire
