Summary of Position:


This is a hybrid part time position depending on the shift. Delivery Driver is responsible for packing bread and pastry items into boxes as well as delivering baked goods to restaurants throughout the LA area.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manually loads, unloads, and delivers baked goods and supplies to local establishments
  • Ensures deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensures proper handling and distribution of shipping documents
  • Verifies product counts while loading and unloading
  • Maintains commercial vehicles in a clean, safe, and operable manner
  • Always adheres to safe driving practices and posted speed limits
  • Works in other areas of bakery production/sales during delivery downtimes and as needed
  • Ensure vans are kept clean, some additional cleaning and maintenance may be required

Qualifications:


  • Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
  • Must be at least 26 years old
  • Valid California Driving License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience.
  • Punctual, Reliable, and Responsible.
  • Careful, passionate and attention to details
  • A strong commitment to excellent customer service and food quality

Working Conditions and Expectations:

  • Work schedule will may vary between early morning to late evening, weekends and holidays
  • Shifts will range from 8 – 10 hours and you may at times be asked to work overtime
  • Expect 12 -15 stops covering over 50 miles.
  • This is not a food delivery position. Bakery provides vehicle, gas and insurance.
  • Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners and staff.
  • Demonstrate teamwork in all areas of the commissary
  • Work with a positive attitude in all types of situations
  • Follow safety and sanitation rules and laws at all times
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Always act in the best interest of the restaurant, fellow employees and guests.
  • Welcome and accept feedback and coaching from the management team in order to maintain and grow as an employee

Physical Requirements:


  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive tasks with few breaks
  • Be able to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours.
