Job Summary — The Opportunity

This is more than just a driving job. Our drivers are an important connection between JM Test Systems and our customers, making sure calibrated and repaired equipment gets where it needs to go safely, accurately, and on time.

In this role, you will run daily pickup and delivery routes across the Mattoon area, including industrial facilities, plants, and refineries. You'll handle customer and company equipment with care, make sure every order is accurate, and keep both customers and our logistics team informed along the way.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

·        Run safe, on-time routes. Complete daily pickup and delivery routes throughout your territory, safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading customer and company equipment.

·        Get every stop right. Verify equipment, quantities, paperwork, and customer information at each stop, obtain signatures, and complete proof-of-delivery documentation.

·        Represent JM Test Systems. Provide professional, friendly service at customer sites, from industrial facilities to plants and refineries.

·        Keep the team informed. Communicate route changes, delays, customer requests, and other issues to the logistics team so problems are solved quickly.

·        Put safety first. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep your company vehicle clean and in good condition, and follow company safety, fleet, and DOT/FMCSA requirements.

·        Stay organized on the go. Use company systems and mobile apps to manage routes, deliveries, and required documentation.

What You Bring

·        Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

·        Required: Strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to manage a daily route with minimal supervision.

·        Required: Dependable and organized, with the flexibility to adapt when schedules or customer needs change.

·        Required: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely drive in varying traffic and weather conditions.

·        Required: Availability for early starts, extended days, and occasional overnight travel depending on route needs.

·        Preferred: Previous professional driving, delivery, logistics, warehouse, or fleet experience.

Driver Requirements

Because this is a safety-sensitive driving position, candidates must meet the following at the time of hire:

·        At least 25 years old

·        Valid driver's license from your state of legal residence authorizing operation of vehicles or combinations with a GVWR of 10,001–26,001 lbs.

·        Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate

·        Meet JM Test Systems' Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), DOT/FMCSA, and company driver qualification requirements

·        Participate in required drug and alcohol testing programs
