Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to join a growing distribution team specializing in plumbing, HVAC, and waterworks materials in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for making local deliveries using company vehicles while also assisting with warehouse operations during slower delivery periods.
The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, is comfortable handling materials, and enjoys a position that combines local driving, customer interaction, and hands-on warehouse work. No CDL is required.
Required Experience & Skills
Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
No CDL required
Ability to safely operate pickup trucks, box trucks, and flatbeds
Ability to regularly lift, load, unload, and handle materials
Comfortable working in both driving and warehouse environments
Basic technology skills for using an iPad, routing software, and electronic signatures
Must successfully complete a 7-year background check
Must successfully complete a 5-panel drug screen
THC permitted with a valid medical card
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Strong communication and customer service skills
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Make local deliveries to residential and commercial job sites throughout the Oklahoma City area
Operate company vehicles including pickup trucks, box trucks, and flatbeds
Use an iPad for routing, delivery tracking, and electronic customer signatures
Verify orders and materials before leaving for deliveries
Safely load and unload plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and related materials
Communicate professionally with customers at delivery locations
Coordinate with warehouse personnel and management regarding delivery schedules and customer needs
Assist with picking, pulling, and staging warehouse orders during slower delivery periods
Maintain clean and organized company vehicles and warehouse areas
Follow all company driving, warehouse, and workplace safety procedures
Perform additional delivery and warehouse duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous local delivery driving experience
Warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience
Experience operating pallet jacks or forklifts (training available)
Plumbing, HVAC, construction supply, or waterworks product experience
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and handle materials throughout the workday
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading
Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicles throughout the shift
Comfortable performing physically demanding warehouse and delivery work
Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment when trained and authorized
Work Environment
Combination of local delivery driving, customer job sites, and warehouse operations
Local routes with no interstate driving required
Deliveries to residential and commercial locations
Regular handling of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and construction-related materials
