Job Summary
Karvonen's is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team! As part of our Delivery Team, you are the last face to our customers for our company! You are responsible for delivering and installing furniture, appliances, and mattresses to our customers. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.
This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally, you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.
No experience necessary! We will train the right person!
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and install a wide variety of items to customer's homes in a respectful manner
- Follow route and schedule
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery truck
- Install products correctly (training provided)
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs consistently.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, must be eligible for Medical DOT card
- Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and express van
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, and with a team
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and fellow employees
