Delivery Driver – Full-Time | In-Office & On the Road | Ann Arbor, MI Uncapped Commission | Growth Opportunities | Music Industry Are you someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers, and making sure every delivery is handled with care? Do you take pride in providing friendly, professional service while also being willing to roll up your sleeves and help wherever the team needs you? As a Delivery Driver at Shar Music, you’ll play an important role in delivering instruments, accessories, rental equipment, and repairs to schools and customers throughout our service area. You’ll be one of the faces of Shar Music our customers see most often, making strong customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail essential to the role. When you’re not on the road, you’ll work alongside our Warehouse team supporting picking, packing, receiving, restocking, inventory, order staging, and other warehouse operations. You’ll work closely with our Warehouse, Customer Success, Repair, and other teams to ensure instruments and orders get where they need to go and that every customer interaction reflects the service and care Shar Music is known for. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Safely operate company vehicles to transport instruments, rental inventory, accessories, repair items, and other materials to and from schools, events, and customer locations.
- Provide professional, friendly, and helpful customer service during every delivery, pickup, and on-site interaction.
- Serve as a positive representative of Shar Music when interacting with school music directors, teachers, staff, parents, students, and customers.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload string instruments and other materials using appropriate care and handling techniques.
- Plan and complete assigned delivery routes efficiently while communicating delays, access issues, or other challenges to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Verify delivery manifests and physical inventory before departure and at each delivery stop.
- Deliver, stage, and organize instruments and accessories at schools and customer locations accurately and professionally.
- Assist with school rental deliveries, pickups, events, instrument fittings, and other customer-facing activities as assigned.
- Collect instruments and bows requiring repair and accurately document the customer's reported concerns for the Repair Department.
- Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, rental, mileage, and other required documentation.
- Enter delivery, pickup, and intake information into NetSuite and related systems accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate customer questions, repair concerns, pricing questions, or service issues to the appropriate Shar Music team rather than attempting to resolve matters outside the scope of the role.
- Return completed repairs and other items to customers and schools and obtain confirmation of receipt when required.
- Conduct basic pre-delivery instrument readiness checks and communicate any concerns requiring Repair Department attention.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance, damage, or safety concerns.
- Keep the assigned vehicle, delivery staging areas, and work areas clean, organized, and prepared for the next route.
- When not completing delivery routes, support the Warehouse team with picking, packing, receiving, restocking, order staging, and other daily warehouse responsibilities.
- Assist with cycle counts and seasonal instrument inventory counts.
- Safely operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts once certified.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to balance delivery responsibilities with warehouse assignments.
- Assist with school rental events, instrument fittings, sales events, and other company events as assigned.
- Follow all company safety, traffic, vehicle, warehouse, and instrument-handling procedures.
- Participate in required safety training and continue developing knowledge of Shar Music's string instrument products.
- Maintain a flexible, team-oriented attitude and be willing to assist other departments and team members when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Assist with sales events.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Passionate about music, education, or the arts (a plus)
Desired Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required
2 or more years of experience customer service or related field Strong time management and organizational skills Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to work independently and manage time and routes effectively. - Ability to maintain regular and reliable onsite attendance.
- Flexibility to work both on the road and in the warehouse based on business needs.
- Basic computer, tablet, and smartphone proficiency required.
- Experience with delivery documentation, routing applications, or inventory systems is a plus.
- Warehouse experience, including picking, packing, receiving, restocking, or inventory counts, preferred.
- Ability to work a schedule that follows the academic calendar, including heavier delivery periods during May - September.
