Delivery Driver

Company Overview:

The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Wired Delivery Service to find qualified candidates for a Delivery Driver position in Staten Island, NY. Wired Delivery Service is an independent Amazon Delivery Service Partner that distributes packages to customers. The company offers paid training, company vehicles, opportunities for full- and part-time work, and benefits.

Position Overview:

Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering packages promptly and safely to customers. Drivers follow assigned routes and schedules, operate company-provided delivery vehicles, and use an issued handheld device for navigation. The role includes loading and unloading packages, interacting with customers, and working safely in varying weather conditions.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, NY. The deliveries are throughout Brooklyn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver packages to a variety of customer addresses.
• Safely operate company-provided delivery vehicles.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Use an issued handheld device for navigation.
• Load, unload, prepare, and inspect delivery vehicles.
• Provide friendly and customer-focused service.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Lift packages up to 50 lbs. and enter/exit the delivery van and walk stairs throughout the shift.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent driving record required. No points.
• At least 2 years of driving experience required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
• No high school diploma/GED or delivery experience required.

Pay Range: USD $23.75 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
