Job Summary — The Opportunity

This is more than just a driving job. Our drivers are an important connection between JM Test Systems and our customers, making sure calibrated and repaired equipment gets where it needs to go safely, accurately, and on time.

In this role, you will spend most of your time (about 75%) running pickup and delivery routes across the Mount Braddock area, including industrial facilities, plants, and refineries. When you're not on the road, you'll support the branch's logistics and operations by receiving and tagging equipment, preparing shipments, and keeping records current in our systems. You'll work closely with the Branch Operations Manager and manage your own day to balance route needs with office work.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

·        Run safe, on-time routes. Complete daily pickup and delivery routes, safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading customer and company equipment. Driving comes first in all scheduling decisions.

·        Get every stop right. Verify equipment, quantities, and paperwork at each stop, obtain signatures, and complete proof-of-delivery documentation.

·        Represent JM Test Systems. Provide professional, friendly service at customer sites and keep the logistics team informed of route changes, delays, and customer requests.

·        Put safety first. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep your company vehicle clean and in good condition, and follow company safety, fleet, and DOT/FMCSA requirements.

·        Keep equipment moving through the branch. Check in, document, and tag incoming equipment, coordinate outbound shipments, and support route scheduling and staging.

·        Keep records accurate. Use company systems and mobile apps to manage routes, deliveries, data entry, and status tracking.

·        Shift gears as needed. Move between road and office work based on route schedules, volume, and branch needs, often within the same day.

What You Bring

·        Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

·        Required: Strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to manage a daily route with minimal supervision.

·        Required: Dependable and organized, with the flexibility to adapt when schedules, volume, or customer needs change.

·        Required: Comfort with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and the ability to learn logistics, shipping, and receiving systems.

·        Required: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely drive in varying traffic and weather conditions.

·        Required: Availability for early starts, extended days, and occasional overnight travel depending on route needs.

·        Preferred: Previous professional driving, delivery, logistics, warehouse, or fleet experience.

Driver Requirements

Because this is a safety-sensitive driving position, candidates must meet the following at the time of hire:

·        At least 25 years old

·        Valid driver's license from your state of legal residence authorizing operation of vehicles or combinations with a GVWR of 10,001–26,001 lbs. (a standard personal-use license is not sufficient)

·        Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate

·        Meet JM Test Systems' Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), DOT/FMCSA, and company driver qualification requirements

·        Participate in required drug and alcohol testing programs
