Delivery Driver with Dolcissimo Desserts

Dolcissimo Desserts is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Full-Time Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of frozen desserts, pastries, and specialty products to restaurants, caf\u00e9s, bakeries, catering companies, and other food service customers throughout NJ, PA, and DE.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service while representing our company on the road.

Responsibilities

Daily Delivery Operations

• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled routes.
• Review invoices, delivery manifests, and route assignments before departure.
• Verify all products against pick lists and invoices before loading.
• Safely load and unload frozen and refrigerated products.
• Follow established delivery routes and schedules.
• Obtain customer signatures for all deliveries.
• Collect COD payments when required.
• Communicate delivery issues, delays, shortages, or customer concerns promptly.

Vehicle Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
• Report maintenance concerns immediately.
• Follow all DOT and company safety requirements.

Customer Service

• Provide professional and courteous service at every stop.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Represent Dolcissimo Desserts in a professional manner at all times.
• Communicate customer feedback and sales opportunities to management.

End-of-Day Duties

• Return all signed invoices and paperwork.
• Report returns, damages, shortages, or delivery discrepancies.
• Ensure vehicle is clean and ready for the next delivery day.
• Complete required delivery logs and documentation.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of delivery driving experience preferred.
• Experience delivering to restaurants, bakeries, food service establishments, or catering companies is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.

Preferred Skills

• Route delivery experience.
• Experience handling frozen or refrigerated products.
• Basic cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of NJ, PA, and DE delivery areas.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicle multiple times per day.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
