Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek Delivery Helpers to assist our drivers servicemultiple customer accounts in Metro Detroit.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Driver Helper will be loading cases of wine and(or) spirits onto a handcart and hand delivering to accounts in Metro Detroit out of our Highland Park depot. Other duties include but not limited to:

  • Utilizing customer service skills when making the delivery by being courteous, friendly, and respectful.
  • Collecting payment from accounts when necessary and return payments and all other documents to the office upon route completion.
  • Communicating with the office and Customer Service to ensure that products are delivered correctly.
  • Ensuring that orders are delivered according to established policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with start times varying around 5:30 AM. Saturdays may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position will be on the road in all weather conditions and entering account stores. This requires the employee to be courteous, respectful and friendly to others. This position is also physically demanding in nature, separating and loading cases, and requires the Delivery Associate to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.

Pay & Benefits

  • Entry-Level Wage $19.00 per hour
  • Quarterly Attendance Bonus opportunity ($10.00 per workday)

Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of age and older.
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to take direction and work independently.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Hi-lo experience (preferred)
  • Operating GPS and handheld devices is helpful (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
  • Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
  • Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
  • Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
