Technical Delivery Lead
Fully Remote
Pay Rate: $80.00 - $85.00 p/hr

About the Role

We are seeking a senior Delivery Lead to support architecture and execution for a multi-entity organization in the specialty insurance and financial services space. The environment includes a mix of legacy, homegrown, and modern cloud-based systems across corporate functions such as finance and HR, alongside line-of-business applications. This is a hybrid role that blends solution architecture fluency with hands-on delivery leadership. The ideal candidate operates closer to a solution architect with strong delivery leadership capability than a traditional project manager or scrum master.
The role reports directly to a senior technology leader and will initially split time across three priority workstreams: an active data center migration to the cloud, an enterprise architecture and data governance rollout, and finance and HR transformation efforts. Additional involvement in HR systems modernization is likely as that function is built out.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary delivery lead for a data center migration to the cloud, coordinating across engineering, cloud infrastructure, and solution architecture teams
  • Own end-to-end delivery for assigned workstreams, including planning, backlog and workstream organization, risk identification, and status reporting
  • Translate target-state architecture and technical issues into clear, business-oriented updates for executive stakeholders, including C-suite and VP-level audiences
  • Produce high-level conceptual architecture diagrams that connect business, infrastructure, data, and governance perspectives
  • Coordinate with a data governance rollout effort, including workspace and capacity planning, migration waves, and stakeholder communication
  • Support finance and HR transformation workstreams by structuring scopes of work into rational, trackable workstreams and mapping issues to KPIs
  • Partner with third-party transformation vendors as the organization moves through future-state platform strategy and selection
  • Coordinate with challenging application teams and stakeholders, driving alignment on sequencing, risk, and business impact
  • Support incident, change, and access management process design and rollout in partnership with production support
  • Escalate risk appropriately and independently, without requiring day-to-day direction from leadership

Requirements

  • Approximately 10-18+ years of experience in technology delivery leadership, with demonstrated seniority rather than a hard year cutoff
  • Strong delivery leadership combined with enough technical depth to operate credibly across enterprise architecture, infrastructure, data, and application teams
  • Proven experience presenting to and building trust with executive stakeholders (CFO, SVP, VP level) without close oversight
  • Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure coordination; Azure experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with modern data platform and governance concepts (for example, Microsoft Fabric or comparable tools) is a plus
  • Experience with API and integration strategy work (for example, APIM or similar) is a plus
  • ADO experience preferred; strong Jira backgrounds will also be considered
  • ServiceNow experience preferred for incident, change, and access management processes
  • Background supporting finance systems modernization (for example, ERP, close/consolidation, or financial planning platforms) is preferred
  • Exposure to HR systems modernization is a plus, though not required
  • Polished executive presence and communication skills are required; this role will represent technical work directly to senior leadership
