Delivery Route Truck Driver - Class A / Class B CDL

Full Time CDL Class A or Class B Delivery Driver Toft Dairy - 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky, OH 44870 Schedule - Monday through Friday Start time - Midnight – 4:00AM End time - Completion of delivery route (typically an 8 hour day)The CDL Class A or B Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering Toft Dairy products while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety standards, and positive customer relationships while operating within DOT regulations.Operational Responsibilities:Safely operate CDL Class A or B delivery vehicles on assigned routes Deliver milk and ice cream products to customers accuratelyLoad and unload products using pallet jacks and hand cartsMaintain proper product handling to meet food safety and quality standards Complete route paperwork and required documentationConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Follow all DOT regulations and company policiesMaintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehiclesAssist with additional duties as assignedCustomer Service Responsibilities:Provide professional and courteous service at all delivery locationsBuild and maintain positive relationships with customers Address delivery issues or concerns in a timely and professional mannerRepresent Toft Dairy with a positive attitude and strong work ethicPhysical and Work Requirements:Climb in and out of truck frequently throughout the shift Sit for extended periods while operating vehicle controls Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularlyPush/pull loaded pallet jacks and hand carts Perform repetitive lifting, stacking, and carryingWork in cold environments and varying weather conditions Maintain balance on slippery surfaces, especially during winter Ability to perform safely in a physically demanding, fast-paced environmentQualifications:Valid CDL Class A or B license with current medical card Ability to pass DOT physical exam Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings Ability to pass a background check Experience driving a 10-speed manual transmission requiredStrong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and company policiesStrong work ethic with a dependable and positive attitude Customer service experience preferredCompensation & Benefits:Competitive full-time pay with consistent hours Overtime opportunities available Medical insurance with prescription coverage Supplemental benefits including dental, vision, and life insurance Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays 401(k) with company matchAbout Toft Dairy:For over 126 years, Toft Dairy has proudly served customers within approximately a 150-mile radius of our Sandusky plant.
