Caterpillar is seeking a Demand and Orders Manager in North Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will lead demand planning, order management, and production scheduling operations across the full supply chain lifecycle-from Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through final machine and aftermarket shipment. This role ensures accurate demand signals, optimized production schedules, and on-time delivery performance in a manufacturing environment.

What you can look forward to in this role:

  • Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities, driving process quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, production schedules, and order fulfillment plans
  • Manage and coach a team including Production Schedulers, Demand & Orders Analysts, Order Technicians, and Shipping Coordination
  • Oversee order intake, analysis, and entry for dealer and aftermarket demand
  • Monitor production performance vs. schedule to ensure alignment with customer requirements and delivery timelines
  • Support inventory strategy, supply planning, and Rolling Business Plan (RBP/RBM) forecasts while balancing demand variability and factory stability
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) planning, including phase-in/phase-out scheduling and supply readiness
  • Develop scenario-based scheduling strategies for changes in production volume, mix, rescheduling, and plant downtime
  • Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities; establish priorities, work plans, and execution timelines
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, quality standards, and supply chain best practices

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

  • Demand Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense, predict, plan for and manage the demand for products and services.
  • Forecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.
  • Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Cross-Team Integration: Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in:

  • Demand planning

  • Production scheduling

  • Inventory management

  • Supply chain operations or manufacturing

  • Experience with forecasting, plant scheduling, or supply chain planning systems

  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including team development and performance management

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
