We are partnering with a growing and established manufacturing company in Northeast Ohio to find an experienced Demand Planner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and partnering across departments to help drive smarter business decisions.
In this role, you will play a key part in balancing customer demand with inventory and production needs. You’ll analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonal fluctuations, and promotional activity to develop accurate demand forecasts and help the organization maintain the right inventory levels—ensuring products are available when customers need them while minimizing excess inventory.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, statistical analysis, market trends, seasonality, and promotional activity.
- Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, patterns, and potential changes in customer demand.
- Translate demand forecasts into inventory plans that support customer needs while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to gather information, understand market conditions, and align forecasts with business objectives.
- Evaluate the impact of promotions, new products, customer activity, and other business changes on demand.
- Identify potential risks or disruptions that could impact forecasts and inventory levels and help develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and proactively identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes and results.
- Prepare and present reports related to demand forecasts, inventory levels, forecast accuracy, and other key performance indicators.
- Use data and analytical insights to support production, purchasing, inventory, and overall supply chain decisions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning and supply chain functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Experience with statistical forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management concepts.
- Experience working with demand planning, ERP, or supply chain planning software such as SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain data and forecasts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial products environment.
- APICS CPIM certification or other supply chain certification.
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with forecasting and demand planning tools in a manufacturing environment.
