Demand Planner

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established organization in the Philadelphia area to identify a Demand Planner for a 6-9 month contract assignment. This position is covering a medical leave and offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact role supporting forecasting and supply chain operations.

The Demand Planner will play a key role in aligning demand forecasts with business needs, supporting inventory optimization, and partnering cross-functionally to drive data-driven decision-making.

Demand Planner

Location: Philadelphia, PA (19112)

Job Type: Contract (6-9 months)

Compensation: $46-$55/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, trends, and business inputs
• Analyze forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities impacting demand
• Partner with supply chain, operations, procurement, and sales teams to align planning strategies
• Monitor inventory levels and demand trends to reduce stockouts and excess inventory
• Evaluate sales performance, seasonality, and customer behavior to inform planning decisions
• Generate reporting and dashboards related to forecast performance and inventory metrics
• Participate in weekly/monthly planning cycles and forecast review meetings
• Identify process improvements within demand planning and forecasting workflows
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
• Strong understanding of forecasting methods and inventory management
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Experience with ERP or demand planning systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate insights clearly

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, or healthcare environments
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems
• Experience supporting S&OP or integrated planning processes
