Purpose of Position:
The Demand Planner is responsible for following the Replenishment and Planning best practices that support sales, margin, receipt, and inventory plans. They will drive the pre-season planning, allocation, and replenishment for a group of categories to ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time to support the merchandising strategy. This includes identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement in your categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Partner with buyers, vendors and other departments to manage inventory
\t
- Develop best practices and execution plans to align category responsibilities to the overall corporate strategy
\t
- End-to-end management of demand planning and allocation optimization, including in-stock and service levels for all assigned product
\t
- Set targets and achieve plans for inventory required to support the sales, gross margin, inventory turnover and in-stock plans
\t
- Maintain appropriate levels of product availability during promotional periods to maximize sales, create an excellent customer experience, and minimize residual product post promotion
\t
- Manage store and eCommerce inventory to support the merchandise plan (and open-to-buy) objectives including the store-SKU level forecasts for assigned categories
\t
- Create and communicate new item and ad item forecasts to vendors and merchandising partners
\t
- Support the business through seasonal and annual financial planning functions
\t
- Execute and measure performance vs. plan to drive timely and informed decision making
Respond timely and with a sense of accountability to questions from the stores and management regarding product level availability
