Job Description:
As our Demand/Settlement Negotiator in our Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Department, you will be responsible for negotiating settlements and understanding the value of cases. Your expertise in legal strategy and personal injury law will be essential in securing favorable outcomes for our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough case evaluations to determine case value and settlement potential.
Assess potential exposure.
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and answering inquiries.
Stay current with changes in personal injury law and legal precedents.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in personal injury law, with a strong understanding of legal strategies and case valuation.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful settlements.
Ability to analyze medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documents to support case value.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal education.
Experience working in a personal injury law firm.
Familiarity with Filevine case management software.
