Job Title : Denial Appeals Specialist

General Description:
- Look for candidates that have more administrative skills but also experience in healthcare.
- Looking for someone with good attention to detail, experience with correspondence, mailing/submitting appeals (if possible), data entry.
Minimum 2 years of healthcare or revenue cycle experience
Specific Skills :
- Prepare and submit appeals, reconsiderations, and redeterminations for denied claims
- Review accounts and payer guidelines to determine appropriate appeal strategies
- Draft non-clinical appeal letters for outpatient and pre-authorization denials
- Compile and submit supporting documentation including medical records
- Handle resubmissions and track previously submitted appeals
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence (mail, fax, portals)
Maintain accurate documentation in accounts receivable systems
