Orthodontic Dental Assistant -Full Time
Quad City Orthodontics is a modern, patient-centered orthodontic practice committed to providing exceptional care in a welcoming, professional environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic Orthodontic Dental Assistant who is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and delivering an amazing patient experience.
The Orthodontic Assistant will work with the orthodontist to provide clinical support, excellent patient care, and efficient workflow during treatment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, friendly, quick learner and thrives in a fast-paced office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistant the orthodontist with all clinical procedures
- Take digital x-rays, photographs, impressions and scans
- Place/remove orthodontic appliances (biding by state law requirements) including brackets, elastics, bands, wires, etc.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
- Educate patients and parents about treatment and oral hygiene.
- Schedule appointments and provide administrative support as needed
- Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
Qualifications:
- Experienced Dental Assistant required; Orthodontic Assisting preferred
- IA State dental assisting certification is a plus(required to obtain upon hire)
- IA Radiology certification is a plus(required to obtain upon hire)
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Document patient information accurately in practice software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow c
