Smile New York Outreach is seeking a Part-time (Mon/Tues)Dental Assistant at our Bronx Clinic!

Position Summary:

The  Dental Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the dentist during clinical procedures, delivering excellent patient care, and enhancing the efficiency of the dental team. The Dental Assistant performs a wide range of  clinical and administrative tasks within their scope of practice as defined by state law, while promoting a positive, patient-focused experience.

Dental Assistant Qualifications:

• Dental Assistant Certification (preferred, but not required)
• CPR certification card
• Working experience as a Dental Assistant 
• Working experience with Digital X-ray's
• Experience with patient charting (paper forms, charting tooth surfaces)
• Valid ID, and a willingness to travel to schools within the boroughs
• Team player and able to work on a small team

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

• Dental Assisting Services during dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient Records Charting
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance

Smile New York Outreach Offers:

• Clinical Hours between 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. - No evenings or weekends!

Smile New York Outreach, through our affiliated dentists and other dental professionals, visits kids throughout New York City and Westchester County in the familiar surroundings of their schools, bringing much needed dental care to kids who may not otherwise have access.
