We offer:Competitive payBonus opportunities for meeting practice goals6 weeks of paid time offMedical, vision, life insurance, disability insuranceEmployee dental benefitsVision, life insurance, disability insurance401kUniforms providedCompany-sponsored eventsLearn more at www.fdhonline.com RESPONSIBILITIESPerform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctor's schedule and patient flowAssist the doctors with all dental proceduresPartner with the team to create an exceptional experience for each patientReview patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chartVerify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chartDiscussing diagnosed treatment with the patientMaintain sufficient inventory by ordering clinical suppliesEnsure the practice maintains sufficient inventory by ordering clinical suppliesPromote and market the company's services and doctors to patients as well as educate patientsAddress patient's questions and/or concernsAnswering phone calls and making patient appointmentsDistributing calls or messages effectivelyCoordinating and scheduling diagnosed treatment with a patientCommunicating patients' arrival promptlyMaintain administrative recordsWork with administrative schedulingDocument patient dental treatments and payment transactionsFollow office procedures for patient referralsOther duties may include making financial arrangements with patients before treatment and handling collections.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from an accredited dental assisting program with current CDA certification; or a combination of education and on-the-job training to demonstrate basic chairside dental assisting skills:Receiving and preparing patients for dental treatmentAssisting chairsideTaking x-raysMaking temporary crowns and pouring/trimming impressionsMake custom bleaching traysCross-trained for dental front desk responsibilities CPR, and nitrous certifications (or the ability to obtain upon hire)Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with direct patient contact. This includes demonstrating an outgoing and friendly demeanor, greeting patients with a smile as welcomed guests to the practice.Must be x-ray certifiedBasic knowledge of dentistry and ability to educate patients regarding their dental healthAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. This includes learning quickly and accepting constructive feedback. Self-motivated and driven for team success.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 or more years expanded dental assisting experience, preferably in general dentistry1 or more years performing front desk responsibilities in a dental officeDenticon experience (or the ability to learn)WORK LOCATION:4044 Moore Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC
