Dental Assistant – Entry Level

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:45 AM–4:45 PM


About the Practice


New Brighton Dental is a growing startup dental practice in Santa Cruz County led by Dr. Jonathan Vincent. We are a quality- and patient-focused practice with a close-knit team that values teamwork, positivity, and excellent patient care.


Position Summary


We are seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant to join our team. Recent dental assisting graduates are encouraged to apply. We are happy to train the right candidate who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and is eager to learn and grow with our practice.


Qualifications


  •  Meets California requirements to work as a Dental Assistant 
  •  Current dental X-ray certification 
  •  Current CPR/BLS certification 
  •  Infection Control and California Dental Practice Act certifications, as required 
  •  Basic knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures 
  •  Dependable, punctual, and organized 
  •  Professional and friendly with patients 
  •  Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  •  Willingness to learn and receive hands-on training 
Responsibilities


  •  Provide chairside assistance to the dentist 
  •  Take quality dental X-rays 
  •  Set up and break down treatment rooms 
  •  Sterilize and organize instruments 
  •  Follow proper infection-control protocols 
  •  Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories 
  •  Assist with digital scanning and other clinical procedures as trained 
  •  Help support an efficient, positive clinical environment 
Experience


Previous dental assisting experience is not required. We are happy to train a newer assistant who has completed the necessary education/certifications and is motivated to develop their clinical skills.

Monday–Thursday
7:45 AM–4:45 PM
