About the Practice
New Brighton Dental is a growing startup dental practice in Santa Cruz County led by Dr. Jonathan Vincent. We are a quality- and patient-focused practice with a close-knit team that values teamwork, positivity, and excellent patient care.
Position Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant to join our team. Recent dental assisting graduates are encouraged to apply. We are happy to train the right candidate who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and is eager to learn and grow with our practice.
Qualifications
Meets California requirements to work as a Dental Assistant
Current dental X-ray certification
Current CPR/BLS certification
Infection Control and California Dental Practice Act certifications, as required
Basic knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
Dependable, punctual, and organized
Professional and friendly with patients
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and receive hands-on training
Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
Take quality dental X-rays
Set up and break down treatment rooms
Sterilize and organize instruments
Follow proper infection-control protocols
Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories
Assist with digital scanning and other clinical procedures as trained
Help support an efficient, positive clinical environment
Experience
Previous dental assisting experience is not required. We are happy to train a newer assistant who has completed the necessary education/certifications and is motivated to develop their clinical skills.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday 7:45 AM–4:45 PM
