Dental Assistant – Contract

Location: Jamaica, NY
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: $22–$30/Hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

Seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental professionals with patient care, treatment preparation, and clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental radiography, instrument sterilization, and dental material preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments.
• Assist dentists chairside during procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays/radiographs.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain equipment.
• Mix dental materials, including amalgams, cements, and composites.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Perform assigned dental laboratory procedures.
• Ensure proper equipment maintenance and infection control.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with dental radiography, patient preparation, instrument sterilization, and mixing dental materials.
• Knowledge of record maintenance and dental laboratory procedures.
• Strong communication skills in English.
