Candid Smiles Dentistry is hiring a Lead Dental Assistant to join our modern private dental practice in Houston, TX.
We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who wants to be part of a well-organized, patient-focused office and take on a leadership role beyond traditional chairside duties. Compensation & Schedule:
- $19–$24 per hour.
- Monthly performance bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Provide four-handed chairside assistance across a variety of procedures.
- Assist with restorative, surgical, endodontic, and prosthetic cases.
- Manage sterilization and infection-control protocols.
- Coordinate with dental laboratories and vendors.
- Capture digital radiographs, imaging, and scans.
- Support hygiene procedures when needed.
- Help train and onboard future dental assistants as the practice grows.
- Maintain organized clinical and supply workflows.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification.
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience in general dentistry.
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC infection-control standards.
- Comfortable using dental software systems.
Preferred:
- Lead or senior dental assistant experience.
- Experience working with labs and vendors.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience with digital scanners or CBCT imaging.
