Dental Assistant
Location: Dixon, IL 61021 | Full-Time

Clinical Responsibilities - Provide expert chairside assistance to our doctor across a wide range of procedures
- Assist across our full scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, children's dentistry, implant dentistry, laser dentistry, clear aligner treatment, dental prosthetics, periodontal (gum) disease treatment, TMJ/TMD treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry
- Set up operatories and ensure instruments, materials, and equipment are prepared and ready before every appointment
- Take and process dental radiographs in compliance with Illinois state regulations
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout every phase of treatment
- Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed
- Provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education (brushing, flossing, nutritional counseling)
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in full compliance with HIPAA
Administrative Support (as needed) - Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out
- Schedule and confirm appointments using practice management software
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly
- Support billing, supply ordering, and additional office tasks as directed
What Makes You a Great Fit - Illinois Dental Assistant Permit required, including completion of an approved radiation safety course and radiography training in compliance with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation requirements
- Current CPR certification required
- Expanded functions experience or certification is a plus
- Motivated and hardworking with the ability to multitask confidently in a busy environment
- Self-managing and proactive
- Calm, patient-centered presence that puts patients at ease throughout their visit
- Strong communication skills with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and digital radiography
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Positive, collaborative team player who elevates the energy of everyone around them
