About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics as a Dental Assistant! In this exciting role, you will help create a positive dental experience for children while working in a friendly and supportive environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentist during examinations and procedures to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for patient use.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of treatments.
  • Provide excellent chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with children and parents to ease anxiety and build trust.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification required.
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant in a pediatric setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in dental software and electronic health records.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • X-ray license is required.
  •  At least 2 years of chairside dental assistant experience preferred.

Central Jersey Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics has been serving the East Brunswick community for over 20 years, providing top-notch dental care for children. Our patients love us for our friendly staff and gentle approach, while our employees appreciate our commitment to professional development and a positive workplace culture. We are a two doctor, one location, privately owned (non-DSO) practice with many long-term team members that are like an extended family.  Our practice is family centric and prioritizes quality care.  Knowing our patients and their families is an important part of our practice philosophy.  

Schedule is 30-35 hours per week.  Alternating Saturdays are needed from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.  We have Wednesday evening till 6:30.
