Dental Assistant Expanded Functions

Hello! We are a private dental office looking to hire an experienced expanded functions dental assistant (EFDA). Must be okay working in an office with 2 dogs present. Procedures offered range from restorative to surgical, with more emphasis placed on the restorative aspect.

Procedures you can expect to assist with will include:

• Crown & bridge prep and fillings - must be able to pack cord
• Digital Dentures
• Surgery (extractions, crown lengthening, bone grafting)
• Implant placement and restoration
• Implant Dentures (both fixed and removable)
• Full mouth rehabilitation (teeth and/or implants)
• Comprehensive records collection of new patients, which include: FMX, CBCT, intra-oral digital scan (CEREC PrimeScan), Extra-oral photographs (with DSLR camera), Intra-oral photographs (with DSLR camera) utilizing mirrors and retractors

It is imperative that you are able to and feel comfortable fabricating provisional prostheses for both the anterior and posterior teeth, whether short or long span. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, proper occlusion is also important. The right person would likely be someone possessing the following qualities:

The position is for full time employment, four days per week (M, T, Th, F). The pay range for this position is commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package.
