About the Role:
Big Sky Smiles and Sedation in Missoula, MT is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our dedicated and patient-focused team. Responsibilities:

• Assist dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and sedation cases
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
• Take and develop digital X-rays following proper radiographic techniques
• Monitor and assist with patients undergoing sedation dentistry protocols
• Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and updates in dental software
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene best practices
• Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on dental assisting experience required
• Familiarity with sedation dentistry procedures is a strong plus
• Dental radiography certification (X-ray certified) required or ability to obtain
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar)
• Strong chairside manner with the ability to put anxious patients at ease
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented, reliable, and professional demeanor
