About the Role:
Join MERRICK ORAL SURGERY PLLC as a Dental Assistant - Front Desk, where you will be the welcoming face of our practice! As a vital part of our team, you will help ensure a seamless experience for our patients while supporting our oral surgery specialists in a dynamic environment. Bi-lingual is a plus at the front desk. Part time-Full time available.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar for the practice.
- Assist with patient intake procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance eligibility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
- Handle phone inquiries and provide information about services offered.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Proficient in dental software and basic office applications.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
