The Job
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Dental Assistant I who will provide technical assistance to dental professionals in the treatment of patients. Duties include maintaining and updating dental records, supplies, and equipment; assist the dentist at chair side; take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes; instruct patients in proper practices of dental hygiene and prophylaxis; sterilize, care for and arrange dental instruments, equipment, and accessories and make appointments for patients.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. LICENSE
Possession of a current license as a Registered Dental Assistant by the State of California Board of Dental Examiners.
EXPERIENCEOne (1) year of experience (full-time equivalent) performing clinical dental assistant duties which includes oral health education, charting of decayed, missing and/or filled teeth, and instructing patients on proper oral hygiene and proper nutritional habits.CERTIFICATION
Must possess a Coronal Polishing certification AND a current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least three (3) years of experience as a licensed Dental Assistant.
