Description
Position Overview: A paid, hands-on internship in Franklin, Ohio 45005 for someone looking to break into dental assisting. No certification or prior clinical experience required — we provide full in-house training. This is a growth track designed to build a skilled, credentialed Dental Assistant from the ground up.
What You'll Learn/Do:
Chairside assistance fundamentals (four-handed dentistry, instrument prep, general procedure support).
Sterilization and infection control protocols (OSHA/CDC/Ohio Dental Board standards).
Patient intake, scheduling, and Medicaid/cash-pay documentation basics.
Exposure to prosthodontic/denture workflows.
Optional shadowing/exposure to dental radiography — a plus if you have interest or prior experience, but not required to start.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (or currently pursuing).
Reliable, coachable, comfortable in a fast-paced clinical setting and on your feet most of the day.
Willingness to work toward required certification exams during the internship (e.g., NELDA — the DANB National Entry Level Dental Assistant exam).
Prior radiology exposure/certification is a plus, not required.
Compensation & Growth:
Starting pay: $11.00/hour.
Formal performance reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days, each with the opportunity for a pay increase based on performance.
Company will pay a partial amount toward required certification exam fees (e.g., NELDA) once you're eligible to sit for them.
Successful completion can lead to a full-time Dental Assistant role.
