Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Support the front office with basic receptionist duties when required.
- Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Knowledge of infection control procedures in a dental setting.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices and terminology.
- Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental health.
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
- Background in pediatric dentistry is desirable but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Knowledge of prosthodontics and medical imaging processes is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
**Competitive salary starting at $23+/hr and up based on experience
