Job Summary

The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during procedures, prepares equipment and materials, ensures proper sterilization, assists patients throughout their visit, and maintains accurate clinical records.

️ General Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist chairside.

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments following strict infection‐control protocols.

• Set up instrument trays, materials, and equipment for each procedure.

• Record treatment information in patient charts and maintain digital records.

• Expose and process dental diagnostic X‐rays (as certified).

• Take and document patients’ medical/dental histories and vital signs.

• Assist in managing dental or medical emergencies.

• Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.

• Order, track, and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.

• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary molds.

• Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.

• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.

• Clean and polish removable appliances.

• Support front‐office tasks when needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‐organized clinical environment.

• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and compliance standards. The company reserves the right to add or modify duties at any time.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
