Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant 2 to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Health (TN DOH) located in Loudon, TN. This is an on-site positionworking from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
 
Dental Assistant Job Description:
Under direct supervision of a licensed Dentist, the Dental Assistant will perform procedures designated under the scope of practice for a registered dental assistant to include certification for exposing and developing radiographs. This role will involve working as a chair-side assistant during examination and treatment of patients and will be exposing and developing radiographs.
 
Dental Assistant Job Duties will include:
  • Preparing patients and operatories for dental procedures; performing four-handed chair-side assisting and providing appropriate post treatment care and education for patients.
  • Scheduling appointments, answering telephone, and organizing daily schedule.
  • Reviewing medical history, recording patient dental conditions and treatments, and maintaining chart, records and reports.
  • Exposing and preparing x-rays for review, and meeting infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Compiling information from patients, parents, guardians and family members in regard to patients' health and dental needs, and compiling information from community resources concerning school transport programs and school-based referrals.
  • Providing patient education in proper oral hygiene procedures and coordinating and developing opportunities for community outreach and oral health activities.
  • Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state and Tennessee Department of Health guidelines, and inspecting materials to ensure compliance with expiration dates and maintaining current dental license and certification.


Education and Experience Requirements Needed for Legal Associate position: 
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Must have current dental license and certification.
  • Have CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
