Dental Assistant

About the Role:
James E Rockwell DMD PA is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join their team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dental professional in a patient-focused practice where your skills and compassion truly make a difference.



Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
• Record patient medical histories and document treatment notes accurately
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
• Manage and organize dental supplies, materials, and inventory
• Provide a welcoming, calm, and supportive experience for patients of all ages

Requirements:

• Prior dental assisting experience preferred; entry-level candidates welcome
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols
• Dental radiography certification 
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification a plus
