Hodosh Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant in Providence, Rhode Island to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

As a Dental Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

Responsibilities
Clinical Support:
• Prepare treatment rooms • Sterilize instruments • Assist dentists during procedures
Patient Care:
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Radiography & Diagnostics:
• Take and develop X-rays • Assist with impressions • Maintain study models
Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure infection control protocols • Maintain patient confidentiality • Follow workplace regulations • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed) • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory
Qualifications
• 3 years on-the-job-experience • X-Ray certification - Required • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended • High school diploma or equivalent • Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law
