Dental Assistant

Sanford Modern Dentistry opened under Stride Dental Group just over a year ago and we have grown fast! We are averaging 70 new patients a month! We're looking for a Dental Assistant to join a team that is genuinely fun to work with. Our office was fully remodeled and is equipped with the latest dental technology, so you'll work in a modern, well-designed space with the tools to do your job well.

You'll support our doctor and clinical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our leadership team is hands-on, supportive, and invested in helping every team member grow. You'll be joining a close-knit group that values teamwork, clear communication, and doing things the right way.

As a Dental Assistant, you will:

Assist the doctor chairside during a wide range of general and restorative procedures

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials, and maintain infection control and sterilization standards
• Take digital radiographs and intraoral scans
• Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for from seating to dismissal
• Document treatment accurately in the patient record
• Help keep the schedule running smoothly by communicating with the front office and clinical team
• Keep operatories stocked and organized

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range of $18 to $28 per hour, based on training, experience, certifications, and more

Required

• Previous chairside dental assisting experience, or a recent graduate of a dental assisting program (we're happy to train the right person)
• Florida radiography certification, or willingness to obtain it promptly
• Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it before start date
• Working knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
• Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner with patients
• Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move dental equipment and supplies as needed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
• Experience with digital dentistry, such as intraoral scanners, digital X-rays, and practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in a multi-doctor or DSO environment

Compensation details: 18-28 Hourly Wage
