This position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:45-5:00.

Duties
\n
\n
\n
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments.
\n
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care.
\n
Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental X-ray machines, adhering strictly to infection prevention management protocols.
\n
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Dentrix while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures in accordance with infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
\n
Support patient management by providing clear instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience through excellent patient care practices.

Qualifications
\n
\n
\n
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
\n
Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and dental equipment operation.
\n
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with patient management software is highly desirable.
\n
Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control expertise.
\n
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; certification in dental x-ray is preferred.
\n
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs.
\n
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
\n
Certification in medical terminology and experience with medical documentation are advantageous for accurate record keeping.
