 Dental Assistant 

 

You can fully utilize your dental assistant skills working with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists and Anesthesiologists

 

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range: $18.00  to  -$24.00 per hour  (based on experience) 

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Assists the doctor in procedures 

• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays 
• Prophy teeth 
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene 
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor 
• Sterilizes instruments 

• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment 
• Take IO's 
• Charting 

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:  

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred 
• BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  

• X-Ray Certification 

• Coronal Polish Certification is plus
• Current BLS certification
• Inflection Control  Certification
• California Dental Practice Act Certification
