Description

Dental Biller

Temporary-to-Hire

M-F; 8am-5pm

Position Summary
The Dental Biller manages dental insurance claims, payment posting, account reconciliation, and collections activities in a high-volume setting. This role ensures accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and compliance with insurance and documentation requirements while supporting patients, providers, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and track dental insurance claims.
  • Post and reconcile insurance payments and adjustments.
  • Audit patient records for documentation and financial accuracy.
  • Follow up on claim denials, requests for information, and reimbursement issues.
  • Review accounts receivable and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Process refunds, write-offs, and collections referrals as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance on insurance requirements and dental coding practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve billing processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with billing regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of dental insurance billing and payment posting experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service or patient relations experience.
  • Experience managing insurance claims, account reconciliation, and payment processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of dental insurance billing, CDT coding, and revenue cycle management.
  • Experience with electronic health records and practice management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
