In this vital part-time role, you will provide essential clinical oversight while collaborating with students, instructors, and clinical staff in a dynamic educational environment.
If you are a licensed dentist passionate about mentorship, ready to ensure high-quality patient care, and eager to help shape the next generation of dental professionals, we encourage you to apply!
A Day in the Life
As a Clinical Dentist in our hygiene clinic, your expertise bridges clinical care and student learning.
During your 16 weekly clinic hours, you will oversee patient exams, evaluate student progress during clinical procedures, prescribe diagnostic care, and step in to guide student hygienists through complex cases. You'll play a direct role in creating a safe, high-standard clinical learning environment for our students and community patients alike.
You'll Have the Opportunity To:
Provide clinical oversight and comprehensive dental services within the campus hygiene clinic.

Collaborate with program leadership and participate in faculty meetings, clinical updates, and in-service training.
Who Thrives in This Role?
You are a licensed dentist who takes pride in high clinical standards and loves helping others grow. This 16-hour/week schedule is ideal if you are looking to balance your private practice schedule, step back from full-time practice ownership, or transition your clinical expertise into higher education.
You possess strong interpersonal skills, a patient-centered approach to care, and enthusiasm for guiding future healthcare professionals.

Pima Medical Institute started changing lives in 1972 when Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, brought to life their dream of providing quality medical career education. They opened the first campus in Tucson, Arizona, preparing students to become nursing assistants. Eventually Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke took the helm, introducing more programs and opening additional campus locations to meet the country’s growing demand for quality healthcare professionals.
In 2015, Fred Freedman became Pima Medical’s President and Chief Executive Officer after serving the college as Chief Operating Officer. He has been with Pima Medical since June of 2000.
