Dental Hygienist
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventative oral care. You will work closely with the dentist and dental team to maintain patients’ oral health, perform hygiene procedures, and educate patients on best practices.
Practice overview
They are an independently owned, well established, small practice in the Sandy Springs area.
Hours (28 hours weekly)! - Mon & Tues: 7am to 3pm
- Weds & Thurs: 7am to 1pm
- Friday closed
Pay Rate: $50 an hour (negotiable)
Responsibilities- Review/update medical & dental history; assess oral health
- Clean teeth: remove plaque, tartar, stains (scaling, polishing)
- Take and interpret dental x-rays
- Apply fluoride and sealants
- Perform periodontal assessments and charting
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and aftercare
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Prepare/sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Assist dentist during procedures when needed
Qualifications- Accredited dental hygiene program (associate degree or higher)
- Current state license/registration (RDH)
- 5+ years of hygiene experience
- Familiarity with Dentrix preferred
