Role Overview: This role involves educating patients on proper hygiene practices, taking X‑rays, and collaborating closely with dentists to deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused care. 
Requirements:

• 1 year of experience preferred
• Flu Vaccine Required – No Exemptions
• Required Licensure/Certification: SC Registered Dental Hygienist
• Education - associate degree- Dental Hygiene

Job Description Summary:

• Provides routine dental prophylaxis, supports patient education, and helps train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. May also need access to medication storage areas and perform procedures involving medications.
• Perform oral prophylaxis; remove hard and soft deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth; polish all surfaces of teeth.
• Apply topical fluoride to the teeth.
• Expose and develop radiographs.
• Give oral hygiene instruction and counseling.
• Provide nutrition and dietary counseling.
• Make and confirm appointments.
• Review medical and dental health history.
• Take and record blood pressure.
• Chart dental disease.
• Utilization of Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry.

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday -Thursday and Friday’s 7:30 AM-12:30 PM
